Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information THINKTEAM collects through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We follow the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa.

Who we are

What we collect

When you send us an enquiry. The contact form asks for your name, email address and organisation, what you need, your timeline, an optional budget range and your message. We only collect what you choose to give us.

When you email or call us. We keep your message and contact details so that we can reply.

When you visit the website. Our hosting provider records basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to keep the site running and secure. This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not use analytics that build a profile of you.

How we use it

We use your information only to:

• reply to your enquiry and discuss your project
• prepare a proposal or contract if you ask us to
• keep a record of our correspondence with you

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of service providers to run the website and our email. They process your information on our behalf and only for these purposes:

• Web3Forms delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
• Google Workspace hosts our email.
• Cloudflare hosts the website and protects it from attacks.
• YouTube and Vimeo play our films. A video only loads when you press play. YouTube films use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, but YouTube and Vimeo may still set cookies once a video plays, under their own privacy policies.

Some of these providers store information on servers outside South Africa. They are bound by data protection rules at least as strong as POPIA.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and correspondence for as long as we need them to respond and to run any project that follows, and for up to five years afterwards for our business records. After that we delete them.

How we protect it

We keep your information in secure, password-protected systems with access limited to the people who need it. The website is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.

Your rights

Under POPIA you can:

• ask what personal information we hold about you
• ask us to correct or delete it
• object to us using it
• withdraw your consent at any time

To do any of these, email info@thinkteam.co.za. We will reply within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za, or email complaints.IR@inforegulator.org.za.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
